However modern or Cosmopolitan our city has become, Chinese New Year is still an important and fun festival for all. Somehow, everyone still gets entwined in the hectic preparation - getting new clothes, hair-cut, spring cleaning, stocking up the goodies, decorations, etc etc.. We feel the rush and stress, but when the 1st day of CNY arrives, we could only feel happiness. At least I am able to immerse myself in the festive moods and experience the joy of entertaining our friends and relatives who visited. It's a time that reminds us of the simple joy of togetherness - with families, relatives, friends.
This is the only time of the year when all will make the best of efforts to make themselves available for families and relatives. This year, Ching-E and family celebrated their first CNY here, which I am sure is a lot of fun for them too..Ying Hong's participation in the Chingay Parade also brought new experiences for us. May the new year of OX brings luck, wealth, and health to all my friends!
